Synching Music Library

I have hundreds (over 2,000 actually) of songs in my music library that I ripped from owned CDs years ago. I had a subscription to Apple Music for a while, then decided to save some $$ and canceled it. I noticed recently that I have "lost" hundreds of songs from my library. They state that they are "Waiting" to synch, but they never do. I went ahead and repurchased a subscription to Apple Music, hoping to regain those songs, but that didn't happen. What did happen was I now have dozens of Duplicates to songs I had not lost! I have found numerous support answers, tried all of them, and nothing has fixed my issues. So frustrated...

Do I need to just delete my entire Library and start from scratch?
