My Yeti external microphone no longer is detected with Sonoma 14.5. Anyone have a fix besides downgrading the OS? Everything I see with a search show issues with HDMI connectivity with this OS version! No solutions so far. HELP! I have a Mac Mini and an external monitor. The Yeti is connected via USB to a port that is connected via HDMI to the Mac Mini. It worked just fine until this OS version
Mac mini, 14.5
Go to utilities, audio & midi, and first make sure you can see it there (input). If so, make sure it is selected.
If you don’t see it there, see if there id anything within the monitor settings (on the monitor).
you may also have to “authorize” the external mic when/if a message pops up when launching the mic.
And it's now working ... I'm not sure why, I didn't change anything. My mic hasn't connected for a couple of weeks and now it's in the Sound settings again, and visible in my apps. WEIRD. Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate the suggestions! Closing this now.
The problem is not the HDMI connection. It's iOS Sonoma 14.5. I did a search and many, many people have the same issue after upgrading to Sonoma 14.5
I can't upgrade further because I have a software program that will quit working.
It does not. Where it used to show "Yeti microphone", it says "Capture inactive (USB)"

Does it show un System Profile or System Settings>Sound?
It only shows "Capture inactive" for usb
What happens if you disconnect the HDMI cable then reconnect it?
Is this an Intel Mini, or an Apple Silicon Mini?
Nothing changes. All the chatter on the internet is that the problem is Sonoma iOS 14.5
I am using a new Mac MIni M2. It's the iOS
Could be, but iOS is for iPads & iPhones, it's MacOS 14.5
What happens if you plug the Yeti directly into the Mac mini..?

Ok I mistyped. Its OS is Sonoma 14.5.
It’s not the monitor. The mic is usb plugged into a hub connected to the Mac Mini. Monitor is also plugged directly into the Mini
