Stop Randomly Deleting Local Copies of our Books!

Updated my iPad to the latest iPadOS 18 and I cannot believe the Books app still randomly deletes the local copies of my books and PDF's in the app, forcing me to download them all again if I want to read anything offline on a plane.

Honestly I consider deleting local copies of books from a library close to sacrilegious, without even a simple toggle switch to give the user the option to opt out of doing so. It's not an issue of local storage space either, I have 2TB with only half of it being used at the moment.
