macOS Sequoia network issues

Like many others, Sequoia started behaving very sluggish from the very beginning. The computer itself was slow, but I also had trouble accessing the company's Microsoft 365 environment. I couldn't access SharePoint, OneDrive repeatedly asked me to log in, DNS resolution frequently didn't work, Teams refused to allow me to join meetings, the browser versions of Office, Excel etc didn't work, etc.

First thing was to uninstall the VPN software I sometimes have to use to connect to the office network from home. I'll wait for the vendor to release an update.

While at the office, my MacBook Pro is connected to both WiFi and cabled Ethernet. Once I unplugged the cable, things started behaving better - that's clearly a bug, and it has always worked just fine in older versions of macOS.

Setting Private Wi-Fi address to "fixed" helped with the frequent network disconnects. I've now set it to "off" (because I rarely use public Wi-Fi networks).

Things are now mostly back to normal. I hope this helps others struggling with similar issues.

Dear all ;

The problem solved by turning off (Limit IP address tracking) in network settings,(for both Wi-Fi and Wired connection) .

There is no need to uninstall or change any other settings or software.

Thanks

197GB out of 2TB. I'm using iCloud which manages the Desktop and Documents.

Seems to only effect my Mac Studio. My MacMini (M1, 16GB, 15.1) is fine (so far) in connecting to the same server and I can do exports from Premiere from that server with no problem (so far).

Continues to be a problem on 15.2, Mac Studio, M1 Ultra

It's killing our business, anytime we have to do an export the network disconnects. We have to do all kinds of unusual and time consuming workarounds just to do day-to-day work.

We've done the usual turn off the firewall, turn off 'limit IP address tracking' etc. none of those did anything.

Hopefully this won't become the "Horizontal Line Render Issue" that the cylinder Mac Pros had that never really got fixed.

Problematic for me as well with a Mac Studio, M1 Max machine. Periodically everything connected to the Internet- web pages, programs, etc., simply stop. I've tried all the suggestions within this thread and nothing helps. Fortunately- for me- it isn't happening daily but it does seem to occur at least weekly. The only solution is to restart the machine. I never had this issue prior to Sequoia, so yet another bug seemingly introduced by Apple with this OS. Annoying...

I'd note my Windows 10 machine- also connected to the the same network via the same Ethernet and WiFi connections- is rock solid and doesn't lose connectivity during these instances. This is isolated to my Mac Studio and is 100% an Apple issue.

Hopefully enough customers raise the issue such that a fix could be provided. They created the problem, they need to fix it!

I am experiencing the same issue reported by others. I’ve tried disabling “Limit IP Address Tracking,” but it hasn’t resolved the problem. I’m using a MacBook Pro with an i7 processor.

Everything was working fine prior to updating to macOS Sequoia. Since the update, I’ve had persistent internet connectivity issues — I frequently get disconnected. This occurs both on Wi-Fi and with a wired connection.

I would like to know how I can downgrade my macOS version until this issue is resolved.
