Edit button missing on my photos in iPhone post iOS 18 update

I downloaded ios18 and now have no edit button on my photos in the gallery when I touch a photo. How do I get it back so I can use third party editing apps?

Yes, thanks Apple. You’ve hidden the editing tools. You’ve moved my albums so I have to scroll down endlessly to get to them. And even the order of recent photos has changed so that now I can’t find anything. WHY?!?!?!?

I am close to getting a new phone – – I've always bought directly from Apple. This may be enough to send me finally to pixel. I'm assuming that this is Apple's way to make it difficult to use third-party photo apps to keep us in the Apple ecosystem. But you just made my life more difficult. I'm going to vote with my money

Kjc1981, where are you looking and what are you missing? There are other options on my phone like Adjust (down on the bottom line next to Crop) with many types of adjustment, an icon at upper right for Markup (a pen point in a circle) and another icon beside that (three dots in a circle) that drops down a menu with things like copy/paste edits, undo/redo, and invoke extensions.
