Cannot open or preview Word (.docx) or Excel (.xlsx) documents in ios after ios 18 update
After recent updates, I can not preview or open DOCX or XLSX files from an iPhone or Macbook Pro. I tried the solutions mentioned in the "Pages no longer opens Word (.docx) document… - Apple Community" and got to some level on macOS (still having issues but at least changed the default app to Word) but could not solve the problem on IOS. I have WORD, EXCEL, and Microsoft 365 on ios. I uninstalled and reinstalled them; I reset them, but no solution. I restarted my phone and mbp many times. I also tried sharing the files with the appropriate apps. I could not share the file with Word or Microsoft 365. I cannot see Word or Microsoft 365 when trying to share. When I change the file to .doc, iPhone recognizes the file, and then I can share it or open it with Word or Microsoft 365. When there is docx/xlsx, the iPhone cannot recognize the files. I cannot preview them or open them with Microsoft or Apple applications. What is the solution? Thanks.
