My mini Mac when bad. The technician I wet to said it had a bad mother board. He gave the disk drive with my files on a case with a cord to connect to a computer. I h not yet got my new mini Mac. I want to know how to transfer the files to my new mini. Did you understand me?

If the cord is USB or Thunderbolt, connect it to the new Mac Mini. When you turn on the Mac Mini it will present options to restore the files. The simplest is if you were backing up regularly with Time Machine, because that is the first option.
