Search inside Notes not working after Sequoia

I've noticed that after updating to Sequoia I can no longer search inside Notes.

I'm using a 2020 iMac, and I tried a suggestion to turn off Notes in iCloud, then turn it back on and that had no effect. When I turned it off, I saw a few dozen notes from over 10 years ago, before iCloud was available, then when I turned it back on, it eventually re-populated all my notes, but searches simply don't work at all.

Anyone else have this problem... or have a solution?

For reference, my iMac is the 27" version with the 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9, 2TB SSD, and 128GB RAM.

iMac 27″, macOS 15.0
