Can’t disable spell check on my handwritten notes in the notes app. Help…

since the update when I handwrite notes in the notes app it tries to autocorrect my handwriting and the prompt never goes away so my notes have random blue dotted lines all over, frustrating visual clutter.

Tried turning off spell correct and it didn’t work. Refine handwriting being turned off doesn’t affect it either. I can only get rid of it when I tap on one of the suggestions but that makes the handwriting look terrible which I think is a bug, or it doesn’t have a suggestion for the word at all.
