Stereo paired HomePod broken after 18.0

There have been ongoing issues with the HomePods leading up to 18, and now that 18.0 has been released, the stereo paired feature is not working properly.

no matter if I factory reset the HomePods, or remove and add them back to HomeKit, it always plays 10 X louder out of one than the other.

i’m not going to be answering any silly questions about whether it was working before or details

This is a software bug, and someone needs to look at it. I’m posting here so other people can find this.
