Does Apple support OAuth2/Modern Auth

Same here, Apple Mail and Airmail (another macOS client) both broke as soon as Microsoft enforced OAuth2/Modern Auth. My Synology NAS devices which used outlook mail for sending alert emails also broke and I've been unable to get any of it working. Microsoft's recommendation? Use Outlook for macOS (yeah right). I have set up forwarding on my Outlook mail account (to another account that still works) for now and if something isn't fixed soon I'll probably abandon outlook mail. Didn't use it that much anyway.

They do. You'll need to work it out with Microsoft on how to add your account to apple mail.
