iPad Airplay on Apple TV drops out after iOS 18 update

While using an iPad on iOS 18, and now on iOS 18.0.1, I am unable to stay connected via AirPlay to our Apple TV on iOS 18. It will connect and work, but after about a minute it disconnects, it will sometimes last less than that. I have tried using an iPad that was on 17.5.1 as well and the same issue occurred. This did not happen before the Apple TV updated to 18. I have factory reset the Apple TV and the iPad multiple times. Same result sadly. Any ideas?
