How to Fix iPhone 16 Pro Max Camera Focus Issue

For close ups, i used to be able to tap the subject and it would adjust focus. Not any more.

Here is a shot of a 9 x 11inch paper on newsprint. Newsprint won’t deliver quite as sharp a result as say a laser printed sheet. This shot from about 8 inches. EXIF in bottom screenshot.

Is you iPhone new or used? Did you purchase it from Apple or another merchant? My wife has an iPhone 15 and I had on last year. My experience is it takes great photos.

Great, now provide some context for each image. The easiest way is to open in Photos and tap I button and take a screenshot. Here an example.

I don’t know what you are trying to find out, but anyway:

I returned mine and bought another one. Same issue… not very happy

I wosh i could but the size is more than 5 MB. Can ypu suggest any app to reduce the image size?

Which lens is that the 2X normal or the telephoto lens? Can you please tell me which lens you used and what the shutter speed is?

Is there a particular reason you didn’t use the flash indoors?

My f stop is very low in my daylight pics. How do i fix that? Probably the issue

Very low as in what f/number specifically? are you using a tripod or flash in lowlight? Depending on a number of factors, you may need to increase your ISO to a higher numerical value.

Please share one of your old photos, full frame and let’s see those sharp corners. I want to see if it’s sharper than what I just shot and posted.
