Why did my Apple Music subscription cancel before the end date?

Hello, I won 6 months of Apple Music when purchasing new Airpods at the end of April. Today i cancelled my Apple Music subscription as i currently don’t have the money to pay for this subscription. However it has ended my subscription almost a month early. It has emailed me saying the subscription ends on the 25th of October, but I have lost my playlists & my subscription on October the 6th. Please help me restore my subscription without having to pay as it is unfair how my subscription ended early. Thanks, Oliver
