Safari crashes while browsing after iOS 18 update on my iPhone

After downloading ios18 I now have a weird problem with Safari. I cannot instigate a search for anything beginning with a “g” or an “s”. Whenever I search for anything beginning with either letter Safari crashes and returns to my Home Screen. If, however, I search for anything else (I use “yes”) the expected results appear. If I then delete “yes” from the address bar and insert my original search term beginning with either letter, the expected search results will load. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do (I have a great internet connection and I clear my cache frequently.
