Missed Call Notifications from ‘No Caller ID’ Numbers
Hi,
Since about a year ago (maybe more), I have noticed that I stopped receiving any missed call notifications from ‘No Caller ID’ numbers, and that’s both on the locked screen or within the Notification Centre.
I have checked my settings to see if I had ‘silence unknown callers’ option turned on, but I don’t. I have checked my notifications settings, and there’s nothing there that suggests I have turned off notifications for ‘No Caller ID’ missed calls. To be clear, I still receive missed call notification for all other numbers (whether saved in my contacts or not). I also did update my iPhone from an X to 15 Pro last December, and I am stilling experiencing this same issue.
I understand this may have been a part of one of the many iOS updates within the last year or two, as this specific type of notification may be considered insignificant/irrelevant for the average iPhone owner/user. But I have a vulnerable mother (who is also an iPhone user) who doesn’t like her number showing up when she makes calls, and chooses to turn off her ‘Show Caller ID’ setting. Therefore, whenever I do miss her calls, it may be several hours before I realise she has even called me in the first place, as I am only able to see the missed call notification when I unlock/go into my phone, and happen to notice the red number on the top right corner of the Phone app. I feel as though Apple should not have gotten rid of this notification and should at least have an option for users to opt out if they wish to.
Is there any way this can be rectified other than the options I have already tried?
Sincerely,
Frustrated iPhone User
