Mail blinking and can’t search after IOS 18.0.1

I updated the iPhone 14 and my iPad to 18.0.1 and mail is not functioning properly after the upgrade. The mail is blinking on both devices and I can’t search without it cutting out and going back to all of my emails. It is really frustrating. Is anyone else having these issues? Any tips on how to fix it? I’ve tried restarting, but it keeps happening. Hoping they have an update to fix the bugs soon!!
