I am trying to make sure my emails are downloaded to my apple mail from my webmail so that it doesn't keep getting full. I do not need to access my emails remotely as I only use my laptop for emails.
Do I have to delete my mailbox to do this and then create a new one?
I do not want to lose my emails that I currently have in my mailbox.
Can anyone help me?

Log into your email service supplier what ever it is on the web and see if the setting on their servers is POP or IMAP. If it is POP change it to IMAP.
