when i pause my audible book why is it restarting within seconds by itself.

when i pause my audible book why is it restarting within seconds on its own. this is on my new ipad pro. i never had that problem on my older iPad Pro. Sometime I have to hit pause up to 4 times before it stops restarting the book. Anyone have an idea why this is happening and to fix it?
