I have a VPN server at home, when I log into the VPN server from my Ipad, I cant see the devices on my home network, has anyone ever tried and struggled with this before?

well it's sort of by design for it to work that way
a vpn Virtual private network - Wikipedia
makes tunnel across the internet making your device present on the network that the vpn server is connected to,
where all devices not setup to use vpn would be present on your local network
the purpose of vpn is say when I work from home but still need to be present on the network at my job to access work stuff
Hi, thank you but noticed my title and description might not explain hole scenario. My VPN server is at home, so when I am away from home I login into my VPN server to access my home network. So when I login in with my Ipad, away from home, I can’t access devices my home network.
