iPad iOS17.7 email photo attachments in low res

I have just updated to iOS 17.7 and photos attached to emails are now in low resolution. I have taken screen shots which are normal and high resolution but when attached to emails they are low resolution and blurry. Is there a fix for this. For every iOS update there always seems to be at least one backward step!
