Home app won't add accessory

Hello, I purchased a smart lock for my front door last week and I was able to set it up through the manufactorors app and then gave me the option to to add it to the Home app no issues and also able to set up the homekey to use in wallet.

Earilier today I had an issue with both homepod mini and the smart lock I had to delete and reinstall everything. When it came to adding the accessory (smart lock) back on the Home app the camera will not scan the QR code and it also give you the option to manually enter the set up code of the smart lock. After entering the set up code manually a wheel that appears goes in circles and nothing happens. What could I possibly be doing wrong need help on this. I am running the most current ios version 18.1
