iPhone safari history and tab groups lost upon merging with iCloud

I recently got a MacBook, and I logged in to my iCloud and enabled the syncing of various apps including safari. I had tabs group saved for quite some time on my iPhone, and I only recently noticed that they are not there anymore, and neither is my history. Now my iPhone history starts from the day that I started syncing it with my mac. It said to merge safari, and I clicked yes of course. I had no idea that the mac history would override my iPhone's. Is there any way to fix this? I have checked my iPhone backup and currently it is of last night, and it has been a week since I first merged the iCloud sync so I can't even find my older backup.
