I have had to buy a cheap wired keyboard just to deal with the random bug of it not connecting to my Apple keyboard. It will do fine for weeks and then suddenly I cannot input my password because the keyboard will not connect.

Yup, curtisfromnovato, I see you’ve learnt thru experience that Bluetooth keyboards can be somewhat finicky and troublesome on startup ( and for emergency/troubleshooying use, too) …. This is a known thing since Bluetooth keyboards were first on the market( whenever that was) and you did what you had to do to get past it, so, congrats ?!?

Are you putting the Mini to sleep or actually powering down?
Have you tried turning off the keyboard and turning it back on?
Also, do you have any other Bluetooth devices?
Also, are you connected via WiFi or ethernet for your network connection? While they should not interfere, for what ever reason sometimes they randomly can.
My £6 Apple clone sometimes does that!
