iPhone 16 not making noise when email arrives

Hi

I just got the new iPhone 16 and I only have one issue with it. When I get an email I don't get any noise notification. I know the phone is not on silent because I get noise notifications when text messages come in. I looked in settings and It is set to give me noise settings when an email comes in. I had this happen on an older iPhone I had years ago and I had to factory reset it and download everything over again. I hope I don't' have to do that with this one. Apple is has been such a good company so far but it is just one little thing like this that is annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
