Mail is forever moving emails to the spam folder even when the sending address is in the previous recipients list. Preferences are set to prevent this. Happened with previous OS versions as well. I used to use Spamsieve, but removed all vestiges when using Sonoma.

Usually this is caused by a server junk filter, which is why it happens despite Mail’s settings. Perhaps you can turn off the server filter or adjust its settings. Or, if you reinstall SpamSieve, it has a feature to rescue good messages that were caught by a server spam filter.
Thank you for your response. I have tried to turn off some filtering on the server but I don't think I've been successful. I may try to go back to Spamsieve again, but when I installed Sonoma a while back, it caused spam filtering to become ineffective, even after reinstalls and starting with a new corpus. It was a while ago and I don't remember the details.

There’s no need to start a new SpamSieve corpus when updating to Sonoma. It sounds like there was some other setup problem. Please contact us if you need assistance.
