How can I improve the performance of my Apple Music app?

the app is has become unstable and extremely slow, particularly with adding new music to the playlists. It takes 20 seconds to a minute just to add an album to a playlist, the playlist takes much longer to open, and the app randomly shuts down after appearing to time out on many requests
