NO APPLE DEVICE - "Sign into Apple Device to recieve verification code"

I do not own any apple devices. I have an icloud account and have images that are shared with me from friends who have apple devices. When icloud desktop PC verison updated recently when i try to login i recieve this message and cannot get it to go away. If i go to another screen it pops up again after about 30 seconds. I'm about to uninstall it. Please advise, thanks!
