Hotmail on iPhone not working

Hotmail on my iPhone stopped syncing a couple of weeks ago. Followed the advice to delete the account and add as an Outlook.com account, but I get an error message saying “Cannot Create Account” “An identical Outlook account already exists.” Then tried to add it as an Exchange account, but then it prompts me for a server name, which no one seems to know. All the information out there seems to be old. I try various iterations but keep getting “Unable to verify account information.” I use Authenticator to sign in to my Hotmail account. Working just fine on my iPad. Please help!
