After upgrading to sequoia all books disappear

All downloaded books and all epubs I have entered keep disappearing. If I close books and reopen it, then come back. However, every book is marked new and the sorting by time is completely incorrect.

This happens if I leave books running without using it over night. If I close books when not in use it does not seem to happen.

I do sync via iCloud and my iPad does not have this same problem.
