Ricoh SP150SUW printer didn't work after Sonoma OS update
Steps to take for RICOH SP150SUw with Mac OS Sonoma and also worked for me on Sequoia
Download and install BBEdit (from Mac Apple Store – free)
Go to the menu bar and on the column of "go" go down to "go to folder" (click above)
A window opens, enter the command /etc/cups/ppd/
This will take you to the ppd folder
Inside you will find various files, the one of interest is the file "RICOH_SP_150SUw.ppd" and "RICOH_SP_150SUw.ppd.O"
Right-click on "RICOH_SP_150SUw.ppd" and give it the command "open with" BBEdit
A BBEdit window will open
On the 13th line, you'll find *cupsFilter....... edit the ending (remove the ending .app) will ask for an Administrator password
Save everything with BBEdit's "save" command
Use the same procedure for "RICOH_SP_150SUw.ppd.O"
Now you have to go back to "go to folder"
Type the command /usr/libexec/cups/filter/
You'll find files
Locate the one that has the name RICOH_SP_150SU_Filter.app
Give the command "apple I" (command+I)
Inside the information window that opens
Edit the end of the application (delete .app)
Save (will ask for the Administrator password)
Close everything and restart your Mac
Now my printer works!
