Mac / Safari audio always out of sync playing YouTube TV

I've tried to use Safari for several years now, and just don't have any confidence in the program. I have Safari set as my default browser on my MacBook, but in the last month or so, the sound on Youtube TV always gets out of sync. I can close Safari and restart my program, but with the same problem, sound is out of sync. Launching Chrome and going to the same program on Youtube TV works perfectly. Please don't send me any fixes to try from 2016! Apple just needs to set these forums up to support the current hardware and OS only.
