2 years ago I got an iPhone 14 pro and used Apple card to finance the purchase 0% APR for 24 months. I was thinking about upgrading to a new iPhone but it seems like all financing options requires you to pick a carrier. I use Mint Mobile and don't have interest in changing carriers. Is it possible to finance an unlocked iPhone?

You don’t necessarily need a carrier to do it, but you may end up with a better offer going through your carrier. The easiest way to do it is to walk into an Apple Retail Store and purchase an unlocked iPhone using your Apple Card. When you get home, immediately contact an Apple Card specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank and ask them to convert the purchase to an installment plan. If necessary you can request a supervisor and they’ll be able to put the purchase on installments.
I did my purchase of an iPhone 16 Pro Max through my carrier, AT&T. Why? I got a much higher trade in value for my iPhone than I would have received from Apple. The plan is 36 months, doesn’t show on a credit report and monthly charge is around $5 a month for the iPhone. My wife traded in her iPhone 12 Pro on a 16 Pro and is getting it for free after trade in. Free is good in my book.
