I am on an iPhone 16 pro running iOS 18.0.1.
Is there any way to automate the tedious task of clearing the Safari browsing history using the new action button, or otherwise?

I suppose, it "may" be possible to create a shortcut and use the action button to run the shortcut.

You can set up a shortcut that will take you to the option to clear Safari's cache:

but that just will take you to the screen. You then have to clear the cache yourself. I don't know of any way to completely automate it. I just tell Siri to clear Safari's cache so it at least eliminates all the tapping to get to that screen.
