iOS 18 does not fix Carplay Music app dark-mode-only display problem

Updated to 18.0.1, same phone, same problem. Only happens on the Music app; all others behave as expected which is light mode in daytime. The Music screen in Carply is really hard to see and use during daylight and there is no option to switch it to light mode. This started with iOS 17.

On the phone, the Music app is in light mode when the rest of the display is also (set to automatic, light until sunset) in settings. It's only dark on the car screen. The brand/age of car does not matter; it behaves this way in my old BMW F30, my friends' new Acura and Hyundai, and in every rental I've had in the past year.

This appears to be by design, not a bug. It's dangerous and needs to be fixed.
