We can't connect our new HP Deskjet 4252e to the Mac OS Sonoma wifi. We spoke to HP support who said that we may need 2.4G wifi (we have 5G). We then spoke to our wifi provider who said we should have both automatically. So now I'm trying to ask Apple what else to do.
What is the make & model of your wireless router? Do you have administrator access to this device? That is, can you gain access to the router to make configuration changes ... if required?
