Air tag no location found

i set up my air tag, and put it in my insulin kit. Maybe a month later I could not find the item. Tried to play sound, the find my app gave me a message to move closer to the air tag. After three hours I found the kit, and tried to play sound again. Then find my app gave the message item not found. The bleeping thing was right next to me!

now I have the message to move around to connect. Do I move around the phone and find my app? Or the air tag? The message is not specific!
