help! mail gone mad! jumbling sentences - complete disaster!

Mail is going mad! It keeps taking phrases from previous paragraphs, deleting others to insert them and making consistent nonsense of everything I write. I can't quite believe it! I cannot use it any more and have to write on notes and copy and paste into email. I see I am not the only one from previous threads and yet this has not been fixed. What is going on????
