Apple Watch SE 1st Gen Screen Came Off

No battery issues, no expansion, not dropped, no scratches, just over the 1 year warranty so it's out of warranty, no explanation as to why the screen popped off - it goes back into place easy but it's as if there is no adhesive to hold it there, so it continuously pops off, no longer wearable either..... Apple service wants to charge 219$ for the repair - which is almost the same price for a new watch se gen 2 - really??

Anyone else having this obviously-from-factory-defect issue??

And what can we do about it??

I've not seen any reports in this forum of others who have had the screen just come off, though that doesn't mean that it didn't happen to anyone else. Regardless, your Watch is out of warranty (it was discontinued over two years ago now), so if you want it repaired, you'll need to pay. I would suggest, though, that the money would indeed be better put to a new Watch rather than repairing that old model.

Regards.
