If your main/only application is gaming, you may be best off with a high-end Windows notebook.

Mac notebooks can play games, and have some features that are very attractive to people who use computers for productivity purposes. Features like high energy efficiency that lets them run a long time on a battery charge - or run heavy jobs, on battery power, without throttling speed as much as most Intel notebook computers would. Mac notebooks also have nice features like Retina screens and macOS. But Windows still has an advantage if your main application for a computer is running high-end games – due to software availability.

It is possible to run Windows 11 on an Apple Silicon Mac – but only ARM versions of Windows (e.g., Windows 11 for ARM), and only in a virtual machine (like a Parallels Desktop VM), not as a "dual boot" OS on bare metal.
