Apple Pencil 2 writing/ drawing before touching the screen/ hovering on Ipad Pro 5th Gen

Hey, i recently bought an Ipad pro 5th generation M1, and I also bought a genuine apple pencil 2. But whenever i try to draw with the pencil it feels very messy, the pen starts to draw or write before i start putting my pencil on the screen. Does anyone else experience this? Is there any solution?
