Can magnets damage my iPad Pro or iPad Air?

Can I (safely) use a magnet to fasten something to my iPad Pro 12.9’’ 4th gen (2020) and my iPad Air 10.9’’ 4th gen (2020)? If it is possible, it would be soooo useful, but I haven’t dared try it, as I’ve heard so many warnings against magnets on electronics through the years. Heck, I can’t even use a magnetic seam guide on my newer electronic sewing machine, while it was totally fine on my old one which was just electric… It could solve several practical problems if magnets (small strong fridge magnets) could be utilized…
