X (formerly Twitter) will not load on my iPhone 16 Pro.

The answer for me was log out of my X account and then log in again on each new iPhone or iPad affected by the “Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later” glitch. The process is: 1/ click “OK” to clear the error message. 2/ click the settings icon at the top right of the screen. For me this brings up the Notifications page (which I don’t want). 3/ click the left icon at the top left of the screen. This brings up the Settings page. 4/ click on Your Account (the top item in Settings). 5/ click on Account information (the top item in Your account.) 6/ ignore the “Some settings failed to load. Retry” message if this appears. Instead click on the red “Log out” option at the bottom of the screen. 7/ A page headed “See what’s happening in the world right now” should appear. At the foot of this page it says “Have an account already?” Next to this you can click “Log in”. 8/ You then have to log into X again, either by entering your X credentials or by simply retrieving them if your device can recall them. 9/ Normal access to X should now be restored.

Hi everyone. Per many of the comments, I experienced the same issue with my brand new iPhone 16. I deleted X and reloaded it from the App Store, and after I logged in my posts/stream reappeared. An inconvenient process compared to the seamless migration of all the other apps, but it was a fix.

When you get a new device and everything transfers over to the new device you must sign out of X and sign back in on the new device for it to work. That’s what worked for me on my new iPad.

Do you have the most recent app update? If not, update the app and see if that fixes the issue. You can also try deleting the app and reinstalling…and also try restarting your phone

Delete and reinstall is the easiest.

Same happened on my iPhone 16 Pro. I deleted X and reinstalled and it fixed it also allowed it to Face ID.

Deleting and reinstalling the app did the trick.

I was having this problem as well,( I just got a new pro 16) but I deleted and redownloaded the app as you suggested and that fixed the issue.

Same here. Was about to uninstall and reinstall x but noticed my email was not connected either. I resigned into that and X came back immediately. Hope thay helps.

Hey there. I just got my 16 pro max and had the same issue. I tried to fix it by re sign in but it didn’t work. I deleted the app to reinstall and now it doesn’t even let me to download the app again. It seems like a common problem.

And I still can't get on. It shows my X handle, but shows no followers or content. Says Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later. Everything works on old phone.

I’ve tried deleting the x app and reinstalling it. That didn’t work. It deleted all my followers and accounts I following. I’ve now created 3 separate x accounts and this iPhone 16 has don’t it to every account. What’s the fix?

When you deleted and redownloaded did you lose your followers ??
