The USB cable for my current iPhone SE2 is falling apart, and I've had this model for several years. But before buying another USB cable, I want to know if it fits other models, like iPhone SE3 or iPhone 12. I wouldn't want to waste money on a cable if my current phone is about to conk out or becomes too outdated.

FWIW, I have an SE3 and it uses the same Lightning port as the SE2 model. If you have an existing USB-C to lightning cable/adapter, then it should still work. The iPhone 12 also has the Lightning port.
