4K vs 5k monitor advice for designer

Looking for a bit of advice. I have been working in the mac environment for decades, specifically 27" imacs. I have never owned a third party monitor. My company is about to upgrade me to a new m4pro mini, but they are stonewalling me on the Apple studio display and offering a BenQ 2725U 27" monitor instead. I have read about scaling issue and how that looks and processing lags etc. I think processing issues that I have read about with the GPU in the M4 Pro may be inconsequential to me. But I really don't know what the scaling issue is going to mean for me realistically in terms of screen resolution/settings. There is also the P3 95% color space on the BenQ vs Apple ( I think 98%-100%/reports vary) and the 400 nits(max in Ben Q) vs 500 nits i currently work with (I think it is 600 now in the studio display).

My work consists predominantly of creating files for decals from original art for mass market dinnerware. I work heavily in Photoshop and Illustrator with files on average of 35-250Mb. I do a TON of tight zooming up to and over 2000%.

I would appreciate any insight anyone might have. thanks.
