How to disable auto-mount of external volume?

I've got a 10TB external drive with multiple volumes, and each volume requires a unique password which is stored in my password manager app. To save time every morning, I want my M2 Mac (Sonoma) to only attempt mounting one of the six volumes on this external drive. How do I tell my Mac to stop attempting to mount a connected volume? Thank you.

I don't think it is possible to prevent this with encrypted drives because macOS prompts the user to unlock them before any other processing is performed......at least that is what another respected forum contributor mentioned previously who knows a bit more about the inner workings of macOS than most others do. If the drives were not encrypted, then it is possible to prevent them from automatically mounting.
