I need help with MBP UEFI issues...

I know that there is another post on here titled "MBP UEFI WINDOWS SOUND FIXED!!!!". First I must say that it took me weeks of searching, reading, trying to learn every chance i get, and lots of trial and error before I finally stumbled across the aformentioned post. Now I am by no means skilled in this area but I am no dummy either. I know that I must learn alot before I can understand the things explained in that post. So with that being said, I am requesting that someone with more knowledge than i, please help me with a walk thru that is more simplified and maybe if this person would be so kind as to teach me a little about what i am doing as i go through the steps. If that is asking more than is willing to be given, I completely understand and would happily settle with a simplified step by step on how to fix my same issues. For those who have not seen the post I am speaking of, I will explain my issues in which the post's author (TGIK) has found the fix for..

I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro 8,2. I was running Linux Mint Cinnamon on it after wiping the MacOs. Unfortunately, as much as I like Linux and intend to further explore it's vast world, I am have always been most fond and familiar with Windows. So I decided to wipe Linux (since I can make and have a bootable USB with it) and installed Windows 10. It all worked pretty well and, truthfully, the MBP runs the Windows OS pretty well. However, I did not find out until later that Apple has a little helper called Boot Camp. So I had to work out getting certain HW functioning properly. All went pretty smooth and easy except for the GPU and the sound. I have gotten over the GPU issue since I don't intend this MBP to be used for gaming. However that leaves sound... No matter what I do I cannot seem to get the sound working. I cannot even get Windows to recognize the presence of the built in sound HW. I has me mind blown over it because, fof course, sound worked fine with MacOS but it also worked perfect with Linux! I even tried Windows 11 and no score there either. I switched back to Windows 10 for better performance, but still stuck.

So needless to say I am soooooo very relieved to have found that someone has finally found a fix for these issues, but unfortunately in all the research i have been doing and learning I also have been doing, I havent taken in enough to understand how the author of the "MBP UEFI WINDOWS SOUND FIXED!!!!" post fixed the problem. So I am going to stop writing and simple end with "PLEASE HELP!" Thanks in advance!

I sincerely apologize. In my frustration I have clearly left that important note out. Going back to find that thread, even with the exact title searched, I see now is tricky. I have found it and pasted the link below.

As far as the virtual machine goes, I honestly didn't try it. I feel like my luck it would probably be the same results but I know there is always the possibility I could be wrong. In either case, my goal does not include the use of a virtual machine if at all possible. From what I am understanding my goal is near at hand, I just don't know near enough to truly understand what's being explained in the other thread. At any rate, I will keep trying to learn and understand so that I can be more self sufficient. Thanks for the tip on my posting and for at very least responding, even if you are unable to help. I appreciate it.

I'm not versed with Windows Bootcamp so I'm probably not going to be able to help, but you should definitely post the link to the other thread that you found so contributors don't have to go searching for it. I would have glanced at the other thread if a link had been posted to see if I could have provided any assistance, but I'm not searching for a thread that I probably won't have the specific knowledge to assist you. Not a lot of contributors answer (or rather are able to answer) a question such as this in the first place.

Would your Windows workload be able to work if you installed Windows into a Virtual Machine, or does the Windows workload require the resources of a bare metal installation?

If you take the top rated post by xAndrewH1993x in the link you just provided, and go to the "itayemi" link, it has much easier to follow instructions which I think basically goes by the linked video.

In fact, within the "itayemi" link, they mention you can use a Windows DVD to install Windows10 so that you can Win10 in Master Boot Record (MBR) mode. Installing Windows 10 in MBR mode won't require you to perform any Windows hacks to get sound or I'm assuming video working. I would recommend going the DVD install route since that does not require any hacks..the itayemi link has instructions on how to properly install Win10 using a DVD to get the MBR Mode for Windows.
