Wi-Fi connection and speed on my iPhone 15 Pro degraded post iOS 18.1.1 update.

Has anyone else been having WiFi connection and speed issues since updating their devices to 18.1.1? I use an 15 Pro and since updating my WiFi speeds are horrible as well as its battery life. It's only my phone, all my other devices connected on my network are running perfectly fine.

Not I.

First step is to restart your router, even if it is working for 100 other devices. Unplug it from power for about 15 seconds. (If you are interested I’ll post the long answer and reason, but for now I recommend you just do it).

Also: Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.

18.1.1 has completely ruined my phones WiFi and 5g speeds downloading anything has been horrible! Random apps are crashing or system performance is not allowing me to go back and forth between them. Serious issues still exist with gaming mode causing lag with controllers and Bluetooth headphones. Battery life has been complete **** when using basic functions of the phone. I did a complete reinstall when installing 18.1.1 through iTunes and wiped my data completely off the phone. So this by definition was a fresh install of the operating system and I’m still dealing with serious bugs and battery life issues. I have no indexing warning on battery, I did how ever loose two percent battery life a week back randomly at 208 charges. I firmly believe apple is doing a lot of this nerfing to the iPhone 15 max and it’s counter parts to force people into upgrading to the 16 that did horrible.

And you said you had the same issue, but your issue is different because alxsim843 only had a Wi-Fi problem not both Wi-Fi and 5G.

Thanks for your suggestion but it wasn't helpful. My network was never the issue, nor was it my VPN. It's something about 18.1.1. My local Apple Store confirmed that since the update they have had an increase of others experiencing similar issues. We were only able to resolve the issue by wiping (hard factory reset) the phone completely. It's working fine now. Hope this helps everyone. 👋🏾
