My Macbook Pro doesn't support 165hz anymore after update

Hi, I was able to use my monitor as extended display and with the cable I use it supports up to 165hz, yesterday I've updated OS to 15.1.1 and now it shows only 60hz under the Displays tab. Is there any solution so far?

Thanks,

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.1

For trouble-free operation, your USB cables or cable/adapters should be no longer than one meter in length.

and Thunderbolt cables should generally be be no longer than 0.5 meters in length. ThunderBolt-5 cables are almost identical to ThunderBolt 4 cables, and no speed advantages or longer lengths are provided.

Later versions of macOS may be less tolerant of ANY errors in data transmission. When errors are detected, the data portion of the cable shuts down.

that appears to be a 2K display.

its posted specs go out of their way to say this is and 8-bit/pixel display. but you have turned ON HDR declaring that you wish to use 10-bit per pixel. Since the display does not appear to Display 10 bits/color anyway, what happens when you turn OFF HDR?.

These interfaces:

2 x HDMI 2.0

1 x Displayport 1.2 (capable for HDR)

1 x USB Type-C (Alternate Mode; Upstream port; Power Delivery up to 18W)

what cables, adapters and docks are in use?

what was the previous version of macOS?

Thanks for your kind help but I found the issue. To let you know I was using Paugge 40gbps 100W PD cable to connect device to monitor, it was working well until the day that I've updated the device from 15.1 to 15.1.1. After 15.1.1 I wasn't able to use my cable like before. Even I've reinstalled the Sequoia, nothing changed, also tried it on another monitor which also supports up to 240hz, it was same. Then I've ordered Paugge USB-C to Display Port cable which supports up to 8k 60hz, 4k 144hz and 240hz at 2k resolution. It works well right now and I can switch between different refresh rates.

My opinion is, with 15.1.1, they probably removed the image transmission with USB-C PD cables, because at the meantime these cables can charge the device.
