My emails won’t send right away since I’ve updated to IOS 18.1.1 and receiving is slow

Over the last two days, my sent emails (mainly hotmail) have been hung up in my outbox. I’ve tried sending a gmail email to my personal hotmail and it can take up to an hour before it’s received. I’ve deleted my account, and loaded it back in. I’ve shut my phone down and turned it back on and still nothing is helping. I’ve check the wifi and it’s working perfectly. I’ve also shut off my wifi on my devices and have just used data. Still a long delay. This is very frustrating! I depending on my hotmail account for work and personal. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem. Are there any fixes?
